Gadag: Two Killed, 15 Injured in Bus-Truck Collision

Gadag: A tragic accident occurred resulting in two fatalities and 15 injuries when a truck and a KKRTC bus collided head-on along the National Highway between Hallikeri and Bannikoppa on Wednesday afternoon.

The bus, en route to Gadag from Koppal, collided with a Tamil Nadu registered truck heading towards Koppal. The collision led to the immediate death of the truck driver, Vinod Kumar, while another individual, Geetha from Bhagyanagar in Koppal taluk, also lost her life.

Among the 15 injured, three are reportedly in critical condition. DySP Prabhugowda DK and other police officials conducted an on-site inspection, and the injured were promptly shifted to the hospital.
